Hong Kong Restaurant, Lintas Square

WC and I went to Lintas Square the other night and tried out a Chinese (but serve no pork) restaurant called Hong Kong Restaurant.

And these are what we ordered:

Fish Maw Soup
Fish Maw Soup, my favourite soup!

The soup has a lot of stuff inside: generous amount of fish maw, mushroom, tofu, egg, carrots, and lettuce. Yummy! 4/5!

Butter Prawn
Butter Prawn, my 1 of 2 favourite prawn dishes!

Tasted good. You guys have to try this if you haven’t already done so! 5/5

We also ordered 1 kilo of crabs (RM30/kg) and had them cook it into 2 different styles..

Sweet & Sour Crab
Sweet & Sour Crab

We finished this dish in no time. ‘Nuff said. 5/5

Kam Heong Crab
Kam Heong Crab
I know it was supposed to be spicy (after all, it is cooked in curry), but I think they put too much curry in, and I couldn’t finish it. But it was delicious, nonetheless! 4/5!

This BIG meal for 2 (plus 4 glasses of Chinese Teh Ping) cost us RM90.40.

Will keep this restaurant in mind when I need to bring my family out for dinner the next time around!

Western Food @ Harris D’ Corner/Restoran Eddie

It’s been a while since I’ve had western food, so my partner-in-crime and I went over to Restoran Eddie over at Heritage Plaze in Lintas for our chicken chop and lambchop!

Now this shop is quite confusing, as the shop’s name is Restoran Eddie, but the stall’s (?) name is is Harris D’ Corner. I noticed that they have a new menu now, too: Sirloin & Tenderloin Black Pepper Steak, and Grill Salmon.

Menu on the wall

This is my chicken chop. It’s 2 pieces of deep-fried chicken thighs. It’s a LOT, I tell you! Only eat this when you’re very hungry! Or have a big appetite.

BF’s classic lambchop with peppermint sauce. Now I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but almost every western food outlet I go to, there would have some smell on the lambchop, and it’s quite a turnoff for me. And this time around, BF said there were slight smell, too. But he finished the food anyway.

Do any of you experience this strange smell when eating lambchops? It can’t be just me, right…?

Dim Sum @ Foo Phing

If you’re a local, then you would probably have heard about the famous dim sum restaurant in Lintas/Hilltop called Foo Phing.

If you have not heard of it, Foo Phing is a VERY popular place to eat dim sum here in KK. The number of people that come to this place is crazy! This place is packed most of its business hours! Talk about good business!

Not only are the dim sum served here are yummy (and have quite a good selection), the restaurant has both and aircon and non-aircon places to sit. Most of the people would try to get a seat on the aircon room first, though!

Here is the non-aircon section, which is basically in between the 2 aircon lots.

And here is one of the aircon section, where luckily my family managed to get a table before I got there..

I’ve already mentioned that they have a lot of dim sum selections to choose from, and because I was too hungry, I forgot to take about most of the dim sum we ordered!

But I did managed to take these pics:

The 2 differrent kinds of pau; the big types and the little ones:

Keep in mind that this place is not halal.

So to you dim sum lovers, this place is worth to have a try!
