Fish Head Meehoon @ Kedai Kopi Hilltop

This morning, the BF brought me over to Kedai Kopi Hilltop for brunch to try out their fish cakes and supposedly famous fish head meehoon.

OMG the fish cakes are so delicious! If you haven’t tried it out, then you definitely should sometime soon!

Fish cakes; SUPER delicious!

The BF ordered Kon Lo Fish Chap, and him being a heavy food critic, he found this meal to be only average..

And this is mine; fish head meehoon. OMG I couldn’t even eat the meehoon, as there were A LOT of fish bones in my bowl! But then again, not that there were a lot of mee hoon to eat, anyway.. so I’d give this meal and thumbs down. It’s not worth my money. The fish head meehoon over at Kedai Kopi Dat Seng is much better to me..

Delicious Fish Head Meehoon & Tom Yam

I have just found another favourite coffeeshop to go to: Kedai Kopi Dat Seng over at Inanam Business Centre!

Here, they serve a variety of food, e.g. Kon Lo Mee, but the main specialties of this coffeeshop would have to be their fish head meehoon, and tom yam mee!

This dish costs RM4

For this fish head meehoon, you can have a choice on whether you want the fish to be fried or steamed, and with the salted veggie, ham choy or not. I always get the one with ham choy, and my fish to be fried. Delicious! Portion is not bad, too!

If you want some cilantro on your dish, you can just ask from them, and same goes to the tom yam mee.

This dish costs RM5

BF always orders the tom yam kueh teow, and I must admit, the soup base for the tom yam is quite delicious! If I wasn’t a fan of fish head meehoon, then I would definitely order this everytime! (Pay no attention to the mess on the sides of the bowl; the staff would quickly bring the food over that it often spills out on the way..)

For this dish, you can order either fish (fried or steamed), or prawns to be mixed into your tom yam mee.

And this one costs RM6!

This is their kaki ayam dish. Interesting, huh? It’s not the normal kai-kiok dish with the soya sauce, this one is without the bones, and made into sort of a sambal dish, and it’s quite sour. If you’ve got gastric, better don’t order this!

So, who wants to join me to go eat there the next time? ;)
