Remember my Oxtail Assam Pedas meal I had at the Borneo Tribes Kafe in Damai? (If you don’t, then click HERE to read it)

Well, I haven’t been there in such a long time, and I was craving for some oxtail assam pedas. So recently, my fiance and I headed to Damai for dinner there.

Their Oxtail Assam Pedas was excellent and tender, like before, which I was glad! The fiance, had this instead:

He said it was surprisingly delicious! The minced meat taste and the sauce blended together well, just like those in an Italian restaurant or some sort! I did try it as well, and loved it too!

We also ordered some fried chicken wings as a side order, but we didn’t really like the taste. It was a bit bland and they used some sort of ‘kueh’ flour for it! Thus, the weird taste on the chicken. I’ll give this a miss the next time I’m there.

Oh, and this Kafe also has a branch in Bandaran Berjaya. Have you tried eating there before?

    worst experienced i had just now…

    went to the cafe with my other half..as we entered our teenage waiter-tobe was holding a mic trying his best rendering a local number. when he saw us, the world was somehow put out of its misery as he stopped destroying the local ethnic song.
    so i smiled at him with a grin suggesting that we were dining. took our seat and was busy trying to understand the menu. it was not really that good as they were torn pages as if it hadnt been looked at for quite sometime…..ask him bout their special… he said while pointing to the menu “inila special kami” i asked which one…he said “ini semua la di page depan ni”
    i ask bout the oxtail that this blog bragged about but it was mysteriously out of stock.
    then my partner asked bout other stuff on the menu and the waiter was not really sure what they had for sale or what was available.
    she then ordered spaghetti, garlic bread and ssoup.. and somehow only the soup made it’s wway to our table…well that didnt surprised me as the waiter doesnt know crap bout his menu and didnt even write down the order as he thought his memory was 1TB.
    i ordered steak and after i finished eating..
    we went out of the shop….
    obviously still hungry…we made our way to newly opened TEXAS Bar And Grill hehehe and made this comment using the computer available there :)

    so you review this TEXAS bar and grill…then we comment bout our food :)
