Sometimes on weekends, the BF and I would usually hang out at The Olde Station Kopitiam at City Mall, despite having to face the no-parking problem there.

This eatery is self service, so you have to go up to the counter and give your order and pay on the spot before they deliver your food.

At that time, my sister ordered the curry laksa set. It was quite spicy (to me especially, since I can’t really stand spicy food), but the taste was not bad. Ok lah..

I the nasi lemak set, and I didn’t know it would be so spicy! Needless to say, I only took 1/3 of the nasi lemak sauce, and even that I had difficulty of finishing my rice!

But luckily, the set meal came with a drink: either Barley or Chrysanthemum Tea. Finished my drink only halfway throughout my meal; it was that spicy for me! LOL..

I noticed that quite a lot of the patrons there also ordered the Nasi Lemak set meal. If you haven’t tried it out, perhaps you should and let me know how it tastes like for you!

If you know MultiBake Bakery at Damai, somewhere across the street from Burger King, you would see a coffeeshop named Kedai Kopi Ria. And there, you can find a stall that sells:

Thailand Ngau Chap!

This is how it looks like, regular ngau chap, but with a Thai twist to it! And the taste: think of TomYam style ngau chap! Worth to try for the experience of it! It’s surely something different! If you love TomYam, then you’ll LOVE this ngau chap!

On the same coffeeshop, there’s also another stall that sells mee soup that I also like. The soup base is clear, and yet, the taste are all there! Delicious! It’s either RM4 or Rm4.50 I think..

A lot of people have been asking me where this particular ngau chap stall is located. I myself do not know how to explain to them, but to those of you, if you know this particular stall called Jac’s Best Things (not my stall ah LOL) at Block D of Damai Commercial Centre, then this Hainan Ngau Chap stall is right beside Jac’s Best Things.

My family have known the boss and his family, who’s coincidently our neighbour since like, forever! So it’s nice have a stall remember how you want your mee to be like and what you want and don’t want in your ngau chap.

I particularly love their ngau chap because they add a special extra to their dish: ham choy. Something different, but still very delicious! Also, their meat looks very red, but is actually very tender!

Of course, at ngau chap eateries, you can either have it as a mee soup, or:

eat it as Kon-Lo mee.

But I usually have mine as a mee soup. Yummy-o!
