Western Food @ Harris D' Corner/Restoran Eddie

It's been a while since I've had western food, so my partner-in-crime and I went over to Restoran Eddie over at Heritage Plaze in Lintas for our chicken chop and lambchop!

Now this shop is quite confusing, as the shop's name is Restoran Eddie, but the stall's (?) name is is Harris D' Corner. I noticed that they have a new menu now, too: Sirloin & Tenderloin Black Pepper Steak, and Grill Salmon.

Menu on the wall

This is my chicken chop. It's 2 pieces of deep-fried chicken thighs. It's a LOT, I tell you! Only eat this when you're very hungry! Or have a big appetite.

BF's classic lambchop with peppermint sauce. Now I don't know if it's just me or what, but almost every western food outlet I go to, there would have some smell on the lambchop, and it's quite a turnoff for me. And this time around, BF said there were slight smell, too. But he finished the food anyway.

Do any of you experience this strange smell when eating lambchops? It can't be just me, right...?

This Blog's Doing Okay! Yeay!

Caneeliea says:

Thank you so much everyone for linking to this blog and checking it out from time to time. To tell you all the truth, I didn't think there would be so many people who would check out this blog, but boy, was I surprised when people actually comes up to me and asks whether I am the author of this KKFood blog. And then they would proceed on saying that whenever they have a mindblock on where to eat, they would always check out this blog!

Well, I'm glad that I could be of help to you all. But of course, doing this blog do take some of my time; not the photo taking part during meal, but the cropping and editing of the pictures, and thinking of what to say were the problems I usually encounter when doing food reviews.

But hey, this blog is a PR3 now, and has been for a few months now. Thank you so much again for linking back this site to your blogs and spreading the word.

Now I'm off to submit this blog to a new blog directory. I need to spread the news more about the delicious food here in the city! Stay tuned for more reviews soon!

Excellent Oxtail @ Borneo Tribes Kafe

Eatery: Borneo Tribes Kafe

Location: Damai Point, Damai.

Finally get to sample the food here at Borneo Tribes Kafe, and for the first time, BF and I sat on the inside too!

My siblings and BF would always come here four our happy hour session whenever we needed to do some drinking and some chit-chatting. But previously, we would often just outside and have never experienced the inside yet..

Until now.

The inside is beautifully decorated with a touch of Borneo to it. We like!

This red couch looks really comfy, too!

They also have signatures of Acha and Irwansyah (stars of the Indon movie Heart) who also loved the oxtail dish!

Even the lights are not spared from being unique

And the tablemat too!

Only RM18++

So this is the famous dish, the Oxtail Assam Pedas. The kafe's signature dish, and rumoured to be even better than the oxtail dish in Hyatt? I've never tried the oxtail in Hyatt, so I have no say in this.

But seriously, the Borneo Tribes Kafe's Oxtail Assam Pedas is to die for! No joke! It tasted so delicious, even though on the spicy side, and me, someone who doesn' t really know how to eat spicy food, was literally crying while trying to finish my food (which I ate together with the sambal belacan)! But hey, I did finish it, with tears running down and all; it was THAT good!

BF had this dish (I think it's the Mixed Grill). Not as delicious as mine, and the meat was quite hard.

So, all in all, I truly enjoyed my Oxtail dish, and can't wait to have it again! I recommend all of you who can eat spicy food to try this dish as well, and to enjoy the calm and relaxing environment of Borneo Tribes Kafe.
