Excellent Oxtail @ Borneo Tribes Kafe

Eatery: Borneo Tribes Kafe

Location: Damai Point, Damai.

Finally get to sample the food here at Borneo Tribes Kafe, and for the first time, BF and I sat on the inside too!

My siblings and BF would always come here four our happy hour session whenever we needed to do some drinking and some chit-chatting. But previously, we would often just outside and have never experienced the inside yet..

Until now.

The inside is beautifully decorated with a touch of Borneo to it. We like!

This red couch looks really comfy, too!

They also have signatures of Acha and Irwansyah (stars of the Indon movie Heart) who also loved the oxtail dish!

So this is the famous dish, the Oxtail Assam Pedas. The kafe’s signature dish, and rumoured to be even better than the oxtail dish in Hyatt? I’ve never tried the oxtail in Hyatt, so I have no say in this.

But seriously, the Borneo Tribes Kafe’s Oxtail Assam Pedas is to die for! No joke! It tasted so delicious, even though on the spicy side, and me, someone who doesn’ t really know how to eat spicy food, was literally crying while trying to finish my food (which I ate together with the sambal belacan)! But hey, I did finish it, with tears running down and all; it was THAT good!

BF had this dish (I think it’s the Mixed Grill). Not as delicious as mine, and the meat was quite hard.

So, all in all, I truly enjoyed my Oxtail dish, and can’t wait to have it again! I recommend all of you who can eat spicy food to try this dish as well, and to enjoy the calm and relaxing environment of Borneo Tribes Kafe.
