Dinner @ Spice Island
Posted by JACQ | Filed under Uncategorized
One of the best restaurants in Malaysia is this particular restaurant, Spice Island, at the Marina & Country Club, Sutera Harbour Resort as well. I remembered eating here a few years back, but I’ve forgotten how delicious the food were, and now I have pictures to show it!
The beautiful decor inside..

A bowl of spices that you can find on each table..

Our drink for dinner..

Our soup..

“Sayur manis”, and Chicken Tandoori..

Prawns, and Naan bread..

And fish.

And these are what we had for dessert..

How much did all these cost? It’s quite expensive, that’s for sure! But hey, it’s not everyday that I get to try fine dining, so was glad that we got to try a lot of the food there! It’s certainly one of my favourite restaurants now!

Dinner @ Silk Garden
Posted by JACQ | Filed under Uncategorized
The first time I had dinner at Silk Garden in the Pacific Sutera was a few years back. I didn’t manage to take pics at that time, but luckily, I brought my camera with me when I had dinner at this place a few days ago.
To those of you who doesn’t know, Silk Garden is actually a Cantonese restaurant. I love the decor.
See?

Had fish maw soup for starters; my favourite soup! Yummy!

Black pepper beef, and fish..

Here, they actually call it Sabah Veggie, but being a Sabahan, I know there are actually several of Sabah veggies around here. So I’m not sure whether it should be called that or not. Hmm… But I do know that it’s called Sayur Manis in Malay! This is also my favourite veggie, by the way!

This chicken is one of the restuarant’s signature dishes..

And finally, for dessert, I chose mango pudding. Also my favourite.

All of the food were all very delicious, and I think I will be back here again. To those of you who haven’t tried this place, you really should, you know!

Dinner @ Ferdinand’s
Posted by JACQ | Filed under Uncategorized
For the first time, I finally had dinner at Ferdinand’s, over at The Magellan Sutera. Pathetic, right? I’ve always thought it’s super duper expensive, but hey, it’s not so bad after all!
Here’s what it looks like in the restaurant..

We find it unique that the waitress would cook right in front of the customers. Not a lot of restaurants would do that..

More decor..

Okay, food pics time! I’ve forgotten all the names of the dishes lah! But you guys just enjoy the pics lah!

I’m not sure about the total cost of these dishes, as I wasn’t the one who was paying. But the food were very delicious! And I love how the waiters and waitresses would serve the food to everybody at the same time! Excellent service!

Steak @ Pirates Of Borneo
Posted by JACQ | Filed under Uncategorized
Isn’t that a cool name, Pirates of Borneo?
The steak aroma affected BF and I so much on Saturday night (we even dreamt about it!), that we’ve decided to try it out last night.
So, restaurant name: Pirates Of Borneo.
Location: Waterfront.
This is one of the cool places that you can have your meal right beside the sea, along with a view of the Tunku Abdul Rahman parks. This is also one of the places that you can go to for sunset watching.

So this is the restaurant that we went to. You can have an option of sitting inside the restaurant, or you can sit outside and enjoy the view!

One of the obvious attraction on the sea when you’re here is this cruise boat. It would park right in front of this particular restaurant and play music loud enough to be heard on the mainland.
It’s a beauty, huh!

We then found out that this cruise actually belonged to Pirates of Borneo! We had a chance to chit-chat with the owner about the boat and the cruise packages. To those of you who still doesn’t know, Pirates of Borneo have 2 cruise packages: Fun Cruise (for daytime) and Sunset Cruise (for at night). You can read further on the cruise packages when you come to eat at this restaurant!
This is what it looks like on the middle of the restaurant; you can watch the chef cook up your steak!

This is what we ordered; it’s actually a special promotion listed on the board: steak with side orders, a can of beer, and unlimited salad!
BF had steak with mushroom sauce, and mine was with black pepper sauce. I personally think my black pepper sauce was much better than BF’s sauce!

It’s quite pricey, and the total bill came up to around RM126. The price wasn’t a problem for us though, as long as the food is delicious, which is was!
So if you don’t mind forking out slightly more for your steak, you should definitely try out Pirates of Borneo! Not only will you have a great view of the sea and islands, you’ll also have delicious food!
